Lami is a Discord bot. This page describes exactly what it stores, who that data is sent to, and how to have it removed.

What Lami stores

DataWhy
Your Discord user ID and usernameTo recognise you between messages and apply your settings
A Genshin UID and public display name, if you save oneA shortcut for your public Enka.Network profile and character showcase. Saving a UID does not verify game-account ownership. Remove it under Genshin in Connections. Public lookups send the selected UID to Enka.Network; cached showcases may include character equipment and combat stats you made public in-game
Your public Discord display name and avatar, and a count of saved messages sent to LamiThe signed-in member leaderboard shows names, avatars, ranks and counts only. Conversation text, memories, server membership and channel names are not included. Deleting saved chats reduces the count; removing all saved chats removes your member entry
Cached server names and icons, counts of saved Lami replies and the latest saved reply time per serverThe signed-in server leaderboard shows server profiles, ranks, reply totals and last reply times across saved conversations. It does not show who spoke, channel names, DMs, private planning rooms or conversation content. Profiles refresh from Discord on startup, on changes and every 15 minutes. Servers Lami leaves are excluded; deleting saved chats updates their totals and last reply times
The content of messages you send to Lami, and Lami's repliesConversation memory, so replies follow context. Stored per channel
Small personal memories, such as your preferred name, hobbies, game preferences and explanation style, plus memory settings and personal conversation titlesTo recognize your Discord account across channels and servers. Useful details may be saved automatically from new messages you send to Lami. You can view, edit, forget or disable them on the dashboard’s Memory page. Full conversations are not combined across channels
A short summary of your conversational styleLami adapts its tone. This is generated from your messages
Your chosen personality, and any custom characters you createTo apply them when you talk to Lami
Files you upload to LamiTo read and answer questions about them
Server ID, configured personality, and which admin changed itServer settings and an audit trail for abuse handling
Request metadata: Discord user/server/channel IDs, time, duration, outcome, model and tool counts, and provider-reported token usage and costRate limiting, service health and abuse prevention. These logs do not contain message content, tool arguments or API keys
If you connect osu!: your verified osu! user ID, username, default game mode, and link dateTo identify your own osu! account when you ask for stats or plays. Personal osu! access and refresh tokens are not stored
If you connect Steam for Dota 2: your verified SteamID64, Dota account ID, and link dateTo look up your public Dota 2 stats and matches when you ask. Steam passwords and access tokens are not stored
If you connect VRChat: your verified VRChat user ID, display name, and link date. Pending verification stores the target ID, a hash of the bio code, expiry and last-check timeTo find your public profile when you ask. Verification expires after 15 minutes. Lami does not collect your VRChat password or session cookies
Private server planning conversations, reference image links, exact change drafts and application resultsTo restore planning sessions, review approved changes and show server managers a change history

Lami only reads messages in channels a server administrator has enabled it in, or messages that mention it directly. It does not read your DMs with other people, and it cannot see servers it has not been invited to.

Who your data is shared with

When a server manager uses the server builder, Lami may inspect the server layout and recent posts in channels both the manager and Lami can access. These details, planning messages and reference images are sent to the configured AI provider to prepare a proposal. Exact proposals and results are visible to managers of that server in the dashboard. Changes and channel posts require approval in the original Discord room.

To generate a reply, the content of your recent messages in that channel is sent to an AI provider. Lami currently uses OpenRouter, which routes the request to the configured model. This is unavoidable: it is how the reply is produced.

When personal memory is on, your saved details may also be sent to the same configured AI provider to personalize replies across channels, servers and DMs. Replies in server channels can be visible to others there. Avoid saving secrets or sensitive information. Turn off automatic saving to require explicit requests, or turn off personal memory to stop its use and saving entirely.

Depending on what you ask, Lami may also contact:

Only what is needed for that request is sent. Your data is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone for advertising.

Where it is stored

Shared conversations are optional and stay in one Discord channel. The starter joins automatically; other members must click Join conversation. Only joined members' new exchanges addressed to Lami share context, with speaker labels. Earlier personal histories and ordinary channel chatter are not imported. Personal memory and connected-account identity remain tied to the person asking. Leaving removes your exchanges from shared context, while your own saved history remains available in History. Deleting that history also removes it from shared context. Discord posts remain visible in the channel.

Lami's owner can see usage metadata and suspend AI access to address abuse. The developer console is restricted to the owner's verified Discord account. When a conversation is reported, the owner may open a case for a specific user's saved conversation after recording an investigation reason. Every content access, including older-message pages, is recorded in an operator audit log. Ordinary server-management permissions do not grant this access.

You can read, rename and delete your saved conversations across servers, channels, and DMs on the dashboard's History page after signing in with Discord. This page shows only messages stored under your Discord account and Lami's replies to you. Managing a server does not give you access to other users' personal conversation histories or memory controls.

In a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in Singapore, and processed on servers hosted by Railway. Access is limited to Lami's services and operator; signed-in users can also read their own saved conversations in the dashboard.

How long it is kept

Shared conversations expire after one hour idle, with a maximum lifetime of 24 hours. Shared membership and message references persist across restarts and are removed after expiry during startup and hourly cleanup. They refer to the existing conversation store without making a second transcript copy.

Request metadata and investigation cases are retained for up to 30 days. Operator actions and conversation-access audit records are retained for up to 90 days. Expired records are removed during startup and hourly cleanup. Investigation views read the existing conversation store; they do not make a second copy of message content.

Private planning conversations are removed from Lami’s session store when the planning room closes or expires after two hours idle. Server plan drafts and recorded results are retained for up to 30 days, then removed during regular cleanup.

Conversation history is kept so Lami can follow context, and is retained until you ask for it to be deleted or the bot is removed from the server. Server settings are kept while Lami is installed; if Lami is removed, the settings are marked inactive and retained so they are still there if you re-invite it.

Deleting your data

Use History to delete a saved conversation or clear all your saved Discord exchanges. This is permanent in Lami’s active conversation store; it does not delete messages posted in Discord or another person’s saved exchanges. The deletion form also lets you forget memories learned from those conversations. Details you added or edited yourself are kept. Use Memory to edit or forget individual details or forget everything. Forgetting a detail does not erase the original saved conversation, and turning memory off does not itself delete saved details. New messages can create new memories while automatic saving is enabled. Past history is not automatically mined to recreate forgotten details.

You can disconnect VRChat in Connections to remove the saved association and cancel pending verification. After verifying, remove the temporary code from your VRChat bio whenever you like. Past conversation replies remain in their existing history.

You can remove your osu! account association at any time under Connections in the dashboard. This also cancels pending connection attempts. Existing conversation replies are not erased. If you want to remove the app authorization on osu!’s side as well, use your osu! account settings.

Ask in the support server and your stored messages, personality summary, and custom characters will be deleted if the dashboard controls do not cover what you need. These broader requests are handled manually and may take a few days.

Removing Lami from a server stops any further collection from that server immediately.

Lami is used through Discord, so Discord's minimum age applies — 13, or higher where local law requires it.
